Pick up and deliver hot meals to homebound residents.
Every client enrolled in the Meals on Wheels program receives a hot midday meal that provides one-third of the daily nutritional requirements, delivered by a volunteer to include the gift of personal contact to homebound persons.
Isle of Hope UMC volunteers are responsible for delivering Meals on Wheels to homebound residents in the Isle of Hope area Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays. The meals are picked up at the church between 10:30 AM – 11:15 PM. The delivery route usually takes a maximum of one and a half hours to complete.
